INDFIN LLC's services are 100% fee-only for all investment-related services. We do not sell any stocks, bonds, mutual funds, variable annuities, or other investment products, nor do we receive any compensation (in any form) from any individual or firm who sells such products*. We assist clients with obtaining mortgages; we are not a mortgage broker and have no financial relationship with any bank or mortgage company. We will, upon request, refer clients to accountants, estate planning attorneys, or other financial professionals; we receive no compensation from any such referrals.
Many people call themselves “financial advisors” or even “financial planners”. Unfortunately, there is no licensing requirement or standards which must be maintained. Therefore, it is critical that clients understand exactly the background, experience and expertise, and compensation structure of their financial professional.
* I am a licensed life and health insurance producer in New Jersey and work with an independent broker, allowing my clients access to policies from dozens of companies; at the client’s sole discretion, I may receive commissions on purchases of such policies as compensation for guiding them through the process.
